Daycare description / philosophy

Hello! I welcome you to explore your child care options with me in my home in north end St. Catharines.

I offer care to children ages 12 months to 4 years old from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with the option of aftercare from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Care is available with 2, 3 or 5 full day programs, which can be flexible, with 2 snacks and lunches provided based on the nutritional standards outlined by the Canadian Food Guide.

I am a private home daycare that is not licensed with the Province of Ontario yet. However, I do operate under the policies and guidelines set forth by the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and the Ministry of Education and have set policies and procedures in keeping with licensed centres and Niagara Public Health.

Let me introduce myself! I am a warm and caring person who would like all children to be successful individuals and I work to create an atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, and fun! It is very important to me to be able to foster meaningful relationships with families and know how important this is to the holistic care of our children.

I am committed to professional ethics, standards of practice and have many years of experience in education and fostering learning. I have an eclectic approach to childcare which is play based with emphasis on real life experiences and outside exploration!

I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator with Bachelors of Arts in Theatre and I am a Certified Montessori Assistant with over 5 years working experience with toddlers. I have training current with QCCN, 1st Aid/ CPR, current police and vulnerable sector check and Food Handlers Certification.

I am also a mother or 2 children, 9 and 13 and we are pet friendly!
